Haven't been on here for a while...I have had a really heavy cold, not man flu...couldn't have been man flu because I didn't go to bed and just lay there dying.

After I was over the worst of it I decided to take my little one down to the local park to fly his helicopter that he had for Christmas, (he hasn't been able to fly it before as the weather hasn't been good enough).

Anyway there we are stood in the middle of the rugby pitch, we put the helicopter on the grass, and yaaaayyyyy we had lift off for about 15 seconds then I crashed it....So I had a 5 year old looking at me and saying"Your not very good are you!!". After that it wouldn't take off again. so now I have it on charge and am hoping that it will once again soar into the air, and this time hopefully for longer. Maybe he would be better with the controls.

Well the snow has fallen over parts of the UK ...and guess what ....YES roads and schools even airports are closed( or were for a while)..... WE haven't had much here so the school will still be open.

I remember when I lived in Germany for a while...they got on with it, the snow falling didn't stop them ...why oh why can't the Brits???

I phoned to school to be sure they were open and was told by a teacher..."yes we are open, but...if it starts snowing be prepared to get a phone call and come and collect your child/children, you can send them if you want it's up to you"...as at the time it was snowing I didn't send them...It's okay me walking two miles in the snow to get them but can you imagine them walking home.....

Will we grind to a halt again???

Today is Sunday and it's freezing outside. They have forcast snow for tomorrow...if it does snow then the school won't open( or if it snows when the kids are in school we will all get phone calls to tell us to go and pick them up) as this country grinds to a halt when the white stuff begins to fall.
The village I live gets cut off from the outside world if we have more than 2" of the stuff, so people will start panic buying in the local shops, all the bread and milk will go, and the shops will start rationing it......me I keep dried milk in the cupboard, and I have a bread maker and all the stuff I need to make my own...but that is beside the point, why does this happen everytime we have a bit of the white stuff...it's not as though the powers that be haven't been warned this weather is on the way..can't they just prepare for it. Of course they can't that would be to logical.
