Codex Alimentarius

Dare you ignore it?

Never heard of it.... I'm not suprised...they seem to want to keep this very quiet!!

Codex Alimentarius = Food Code.

Codex began simply enough when the U.N. authorized the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization to develop a universal food code. Their purpose was to 'harmonize' regulations for dietary supplements worldwide and set international safety standards for the purposes of increased trade.

Pharmaceutical interests stepped in and began exerting their influence. Instead of focusing on food safety, Codex is using its power to promote worldwide restrictions on vitamins and food supplements, severely limiting their availability and dosages.

Some Codex standards which are proposed to take effect in the near future, and which will be completely irrevocable once initiated, include:5
• All nutrients (e.g., vitamins and minerals) are to beconsidered toxins/poisons and are to be removed from all food because Codex prohibits the use of nutrients to "prevent, treat or cure any condition or disease".
• All food (including organic) is to be irradiated, thus removing all "toxic"
nutrients from food (unless consumers can source their food locally). The
precursor to Codex harmonisation in this area began in the USA in August
2008 with the clandestine decision to mandate the mass irradiation of all
lettuce and spinach in the name of public health and safety. If the safety
of the public was the main concern of the US Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), then why were people not alerted to this new practice?
• Nutrients allowed will be limited to a Positive List developed by Codex; it
will include such "beneficial" nutrients as fluoride (3.8 mg daily), sourced
from industrial waste.

• All nutrients (e.g., vitamins A, B, C, D, zinc and magnesium) that have any positive health impact on the body will be deemed illegal in therapeutic doses under Codex and are to be reduced to amounts negligible to health, with maximum limits set at 15 per cent of the current Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA).6 You
will not be able to obtain these nutrients in therapeutic doses anywhere in the world, even with a prescription.
Potentially permissible safe levels of nutrients under the Codex are not yet set in stone. Some probable examples based on the European Union (EU) system may include:
Niacin: upper limit of 34 μg (micrograms) daily (effective daily doses range from 2,000 to 3,000 μg).
– Vitamin C: upper limits of 65 to 225 μg daily (effective daily doses
range from 6,000 to 10,000 μg).
– Vitamin D: upper limit of 5 μgdaily (effective daily doses range from
6,000 to 10,000 μg).
– Vitamin E: upper limit of 15 IU(international units) of alpha tocopherol
per day, even though alpha tocopherol
by itself has been implicated in cell damage and is toxic to the body
(effective daily doses of mixed tocopherols range from 10,000 to
12,000 IU).
• It will most likely be illegal to give any advice on nutrition
(including in written articles posted online and in journals as
well as oral advice to a friend, a family member or anyone). This
directive applies to any and all reports on vitamins and minerals
and all nutritionists' consultations. This type of information may be
considered a hidden barrier to trade and may result in economic trade sanctions for the involved country.

WHAT CODEX WILL BRING
What can we expect under Codex? To give you an idea, here are some important points:

* Dietary supplements could not be sold for preventive (prophylactic) or therapeutic use.
* Potencies would be limited to extremely low dosages. Only the drug companies and the big phytopharmaceutical companies would have the right to produce and sell the higher potency products (at inflated prices).
* Prescriptions would be required for anything above the extremely low doses allowed (such as 35 mg. on niacin).
* Common foods such as garlic and peppermint would be classified as drugs or a third category (neither food nor drugs) that only big pharmaceutical companies could regulate and sell. Any food with any therapeutic effect can be considered a drug, even benign everyday substances like water.
* Codex regulations for dietary supplements would become binding (escape clauses would be eliminated).
* All new dietary supplements would be banned unless they go through Codex testing and approval.
* Genetically altered food would be sold worldwide without labeling.
According to John Hammell, a legislative advocate and the founder of International Advocates for Health Freedom (IAHF), here is what we have to look forward to:

"If Codex Alimentarius has its way, then herbs, vitamins, minerals, homeopathic remedies, amino acids and other natural remedies you have taken for granted most of your life will be gone. The name of the game for Codex Alimentarius is to shift all remedies into the prescription category so they can be controlled exclusively by the medical monopoly and its bosses, the major pharmaceutical firms. Predictably, this scenario has been denied by both the Canadian Health Food Association and the Health Protection Branch of Canada (HPB).

It is now a criminal offence in parts of Europe to sell herbs as foods. An agreement called EEC6565 equates selling herbs as foods to selling other illegal drugs. Action is being taken to accelerate other European countries into 'harmonization' as well.

The Codex Alimentarius proposals already exist as law in Norway and Germany where the entire health food industry has literally been taken over by the drug companies. In these countries, vitamin C above 200 mg is illegal as is vitamin E above 45 IU, vitamin B1 over 2.4 mg and so on. Shering-Plough, the Norway pharmaceutical giant, now controls an Echinacea tincture, which is being sold there as an over the counter drug at grossly inflated prices. The same is true of ginkgo and many other herbs, and only one government controlled pharmacy has the right to import supplements as medicines which they can sell to health food stores, convenience stores or pharmacies."

READ UP ON IT YOURSELF..... THIS IS GOING TO AFFECT EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.... JUST THINK OF THE HERBS YOU USE IN COOKING IT WILL BE ILLEGAL!!!!!!

The seven principles of spiritualism

The seven principles of spiritualism

1 THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD

If you believe in God, then you probably already have your own ideas aboout what he/she is,and about judgement day. Me myself I believe in a higher power, not the God of the bible though. Yes I believe there is something out there which is more than us. I believe we are on a learning curve while we are here on earth, just some learn more quickly than others.

2 THE BROTHERHOOD OF MAN

We are all one, we are all connected not just to each other but to everything. We are all responsible for our own actions, deeds and thoughts. As it says in the bible Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. And this one...A smile is catching, smile at a stranger today. By just smiling at someone and saying hello you may change what they were thinking or feeling. Try and do a good deed everyday for someone, it does get passed on :-)

3 COMMUNION OF SPIRITS AND THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS

This point is denied by most religions...they say it's the work of the Devil and therfore evil. I believe we can all talk to loved ones who have passed on and to Angels. How can something that brings comfort and peace to those who are grieving be evil?.

4 CONTINUOUS EXISTENCE OF THE HUMAN SOUL

That i believe in this goes without saying ..... yes we go on, but not to heaven as lots think, just to a different plane of existence, where we carry on learning and growing.

5 PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Man knows the difference between right and wrong. Man chooses for themselves which road they will take. No one be they religious or an athiest can escape any consequences of their actions. God doesn't do this though, this happens when we move onto the next plane

6 COMPENSATION AND RETRIBUTION HEREAFTER FOR ALL GOOD AND EVIL DEEDS DONE ON EARTH

Just because you go to church every Sunday doesn't make you a good person, just because you believe in God and Jesus doesn't mean you will get into "heaven"... what you do here on earth, how you react and relate to others, how you try and live a life to be as good as you can. Think of someone who desn't believe in God but has spent all their lives doing good works and helping others, do you think this person would not be allowed into the next life, or be sent to hell because they didn't believe?

7 ETERNAL PROGRESS OPEN TO EVERY HUMAN SOUL

We all go here, some will go and be on a higher plane than others, but we still learn when we are here. We progress and move on and up. Here there is no time, we have an eternity to progress up the planes. We all come from the light we all go back to the light.

Crazy at Christmas

Why oh why are people spending over £300 on food for over the Christmas holiday?

The shops are open on Saturday, in fact some are open on Christmas day...

Why do people go crazy at this time of year..????

I only went to Asda to get some yoghurts and salad stuff, I was in the queue for an hour at the checkouts :(

Now I am going to do what Absolute did .....ARRRRRRRGHGGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGGH

IE needs a security patch

Thought I would put this here, just in case none of you have heard about it. IE (internet explorer) has a back door (as if you didn't know that) some websites that you visit it with it have had trojans inserted into them...this one is a keylogger. That way people can control your computer and get all kinds of passwords including any bank details you have. My advice go and download all the security patches from microsoft...or do what I do and use a different browser..Firefox is a good one and it's freeeeeeee

Soldier

The boots they were walking over terrain unknown
Some of the people shouted "Just go home"
Others they greeted them as friends from afar
But the soldier had to always be on his guard

This land he was walking he knew it from books
He saw on the news the lives it had took
But still he had signed on the books of his force
Not for glory or medals he thought

He knew the job had risks that was true
He knew some thought he was just a fool
He didn't join to fight or to kill
He didn't join to make people bend to his will

He had said final goodbyes to mates who had gone
He had seen some being placed in the ground
He knew in heart that he could be next
But he still did his job to his very best

He wanted to make a difference you see
He wanted all people to live and be free
So next time you see a soldier please don't abuse
They're the ones keeping freedom for me and and you

Just thank them quietly and let them be
For if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be free.

Soldiers Santa Poem

Christmas is nearly here and little one is getting all excited.

It's nice to have Christmas surrounded by family, (even though I do all the work).

But I would like you all to spare a thought for those who are alone at this time of year, for those who are alone all of the year but at this time it seems worse for them. If you have neighbours who are old please keep an eye on them, knock the door make sure they are okay (although this should be done all through the year not just at Christmas). If the weather gets so that it's icy underfoot, see if they need anything from the shops. Be a good neighbour, not just a neighbour.

I'm also thinking of our servicemen and women who are in foreign countries, and the families they will not be seeing. So I thought I would put this poem here...if you know of any service familes and think they would like this you are free to copy it and send it on...in fact you can send it on to anyone.

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED
THE HOME OF A SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA DON'T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOUR
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA,
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

Some people add their nationality to the poem, I would rather it be left as it is, that way it is for all Servicemen and women of all countries, to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude.

Life after death.

Life after death.

Is there such a ting as life after death?
By life after death I don't mean sitting on clouds with harps and having Angels flying around. But is there another plane of existence.?
Does the human spirit go on? and if it does is it the spirit or the soul? are they one and the same thing or are they two different entities.
If you believe in God is this judgement day? or does that come later? What happens if you don't believe in the God of the bible but another high form of power, do you all still get to the same place?
Can those that have passed over make contact with the living?
Are ghosts echoes of the past or are they visiting from the other side?
Do animals go here as well?

I know what I believe, but I would love to hear someone elses view on these questions.

A short story

Sophie looked out of the window, nothing was moving, no cars or vechiles of any kind. No people, animals or birds. She glanced at the clock by her bed, it was 10 in the morning a Monday morning. what the hell was going on she thought to herself, as she hobbled across her room, the sound of her feet hitting the floor filled the room. she looked out of the window on her door but once again there was nothing, slowly she opened it up, afraid of what she may find, but there was nothing, no people anywhere. She guessed she was in a hospital, and slowy the night before came back to her, she had been involved in a car crash, she remembered being put in the ambulance but after that nothing until now.

She walked down the corridor her sense of dread getting bigger by the minute, there should have been doctors and nurses and other patients but she saw and heard nothing. At the main doors she paused, dare she go out there. Fear was creeping up inside her as each second passed. But she knew that standing there was not the answer. As she stpped forward the doors automatically opened, well she thought, the power was still on. stepping outside she realised how still everything was, not even a breeze. Glancing up at the sky she noticed that it was the bluest she had ever seen it, and the flowers that were growing were colours that she knew, but she couldn't describe them.

A sound caught her ears and she stopped where she was, it was water, she realised how thirsty she was slowly and painfully she made her way towards the sound. She prayed that it would be clean water. Then she saw it, a waterfall cascading into a stream, but the stream was calm even where the water was hitting it. She bent down and put her fingers into the stream it felt cool, it tasted the drops on her fingers, it was clean, so she bent down and began to scoop the water in her hands to drink. it only took one sccop and her thirst was sated. She looked at the water and felt dirty sio she decided to get in and wash herself, the dried bllod that was on her arms and legs came off with no problems, she stuck her head under the water and immediatly felt refreshed. Getting dressed she thought that maybe she should make her way back to the hospital, people would be looking for her. She stood up and looked at the way she had come, "No" she said aloud.
The path was no longer there, in the distance she could see the hospital, but it seemed further away than she had walked. Another sound caught at her ears, this one was of bird song, she looked to where the sound was coming from, as she did so she could see another path, with a sigh of relief she realised that she had been looking in the wrong place for the path. she began to retrace her steps when it occured to her that she was no longer in pain, and that she felt as light as a feather. She couldn't even feel the ground beneath her feet.

she looked at her feet, they were not toucing the ground in fact, she was getting higher and higher, she became aware that she was soaring through the clouds, the birds that she had heard singing were with her and they were still singing. "I'm dreaming", she said to herself, the world was getting further and further away, then the thought crossed her mind, I'm not dreaming I'm dead, I died last night. suddenly she began falling, the next thing she knew, she was waking up in a hospital bed.

Sophie looked out of the window nothing was moving, no cars or vechiles of any kind, no people, animals or birds...... she was suddenly struck with a feeling of deja vu.

A funny Story...

Where has the toilet roll gone?

One woman out with some friends were just walking and doing a bit of shopping they decided that they would stop for lunch at a busy café. One of them needed to go to the toilet whilst she was there. As she was making her way over to the toilet she saw that the waiter was heading for their table so she thought she should hurry up. As she made her way back to the table she noticed people smiling at her so she just smiled back, arriving at the table she sat down and said to her friends “What lovely people are in here, they were all smiling at me as I came back”. One of her friends then leaned over and told her that she still had the toilet roll attached, and not to her feet. Looking around slowly she saw that she had pulled the toilet roll out of the bathroom with her and there was a trail of paper from the bathroom to where she was sitting.

Mediumship and God

Mediumship and God

The majority mediums and pyschics will tell you that they believe in God. Some of course don't, although they do believe in a higher power.

Leviticus 19:31. “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.”

A lot of religions think that anyone who "channels" IE speaks and passes messages from spirits are actually talking with the devil and his evil demons, who can change into anything that they want. The also seem to believe that Tarot cards and the Ouija board are the devils tools and will let demons through. Though most mediums and pyschics just regard them as a tool, a means to an end.

Now I know a lot of mediums and pyschics and they are some of the kindest and most spiritual people I have met and most believe in God. So how do those that do believe in God reconcile themselves with what the bible says...

Well for one they believe in a loving God, a God who in his wisdom has given to them a gift, a gift to help those who are grieving and hurting. A gift to help those people see that life doesn't end once you have shaken off your suit of clothes (your human body).

So I thought we would have a look at another statement in the bible ...
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (I John 4:1).

That one to me says test the spirits who come to you, because not all are from God. So is God in fact contradicting himself when in Leviticus 19:31.he says not to listen to mediums.
It seems to me in John he is telling people to make sure the spirits are who they say they are. Most mediums I know protect themselves and work with their guides and angels in order that only the spirits from the light and God are able to talk to them.

Unless of course anyone has a different take on this...

Is there a God?

Is there a God?

This time of the year has got me thinking about God.

Such as is there one? I keep thinking if there was why would such terrible things keep happening in this world. Yes I know about free will but (there always seems to be a but) if he/she (and how do we know God is not a she?) is Omnipotent then God should be able to stop all these things happening.

If God was a loving and good God as the bible says then God could if he/she wanted intervene...God doesn't, or maybe there is a God but it is still the jealous vengeful God of the Old Testament.

So lets ask some questions..

If there was a loving God why would God allow terrible things to happen?
If there was a loving Omnipotent God then God could stop all this why hasn't he/she,? could it be that God is not so loving and forgiving.?
If there was a loving God then why allow such terrible things in his/her name?

God is meant to be perfect and created man in his image, so why has man got flaws? does this mean God has as well?

God is perfect and therefore everything he/she does is, God is all knowing and therefore knows what his/her future actions are going to be, if God doesn't know this then he/she are not Omnipotent. So God cannot change his/her mind because that would mean he/she are not all knowing... so God has not got free will, how did God give us something he/she doesn't posess?

So do we have an Omnipotent loving God who if he/she wished could intervene and makes things better for makind, but doesn't...which says God is not that loving..

Or we have an Omnipotent God that isn't perfect so therefore cannot be God because God is perfect.

Of course there could be two Gods one loving and forgiving of the New Testament and one a jealous and vengeful of the Old Testament...and if this is the case I would hazard a guess at which one is the more powerful one.
